COURTESY POSTING

we help rehome dogs

with new families

Saving Sunny is sympathetic to families who, for any number of reasons, feel that they have no choice other than to re-home their dog. While we do not have the foster home capacity to take “owner surrenders”, we want to do what we can to help folks avoid taking their dog to a shelter. To that end, we offer courtesy posts as an option for those owners. We include folks who have rescued a dog on their own as “owners."

Courtesy posting requires that the dog stays in the home, or that the owner makes arrangements for the safe care of the dog in whatever way they choose. Saving Sunny does not take custody of the dog. Saving Sunny also does not take responsibility for statements made about the dog or for any adoption decisions. Saving Sunny's role is specifically to use its access as a non-profit dog rescue to post the dog on all adoption search engines, the Saving Sunny website, and any other venues where Saving Sunny dogs are promoted and networked. The purpose is to help owners get the largest possible exposure for their dogs.

We do not currently have foster dogs in our program.
